Our Commitment to Safety

Exterior Designs has a strong Safety and Health Program. We are proud member of the Associated Builders and Contractors NH/VT Self Insured Group which is a member only, aggressive program that relies heavily on behavior based safety programs that assist with changing a company’s safety culture in a positive way. We employ a full-time Safety Director who aggressively implements beyond industry standard safety measures to include Zero Accident Program, New Hire Safety Orientation Program, Crane Signal and Rigging training, CPR training. We recently installed an automated external defibrillator (AED) at our Manchester headquarters.

The trade is well known in the construction industry to be a high risk and dangerous occupation with many hazards that present themselves on a daily basis. We have implemented numerous methods to insure accountability from the workers all the way up to management to insure everyone is properly trained and has a voice in regards to safety. Employee engagement and their support of the safety polices are key factors for a safe job site.

Our commitment to safety is instilled in our workforce at the time of hire. We have a safety orientation program that is completed by all new hires prior to arriving to the jobsite. This gives the worker a basic understanding of safety along with sending the message that safety is a top priority at all our jobsites. All employees attend ongoing mandatory safety training to insure workers are trained properly to perform their job safely.
